I am posting o mid-term quiz for you all to take. It is not too difficult but does cover a good bit of material. Please read carefully and choose the best answer. Remember, 3 of the answers are wrong and you only get one chance. Good luck and I will post the remainder of the guided notes tomorrow. We are less than a month away from finishing. Stay Strong!!!!
Happy Thursday. More rain today, but the next few day will be gorgeous. I am attaching guided notes for the time period between WW1 and WW2. That will be enough for this week. I am also assigning some 1920's and 1930's articles in NEWSELA. These will be higher level reading and focused on U.S. History. Good luck guys and gals. I miss you all and keep learning. Keep in touch. Some testing opportunities are coming if you would like to do them. I will keep you up to date.
Coach Bond Thank you to all that have been emailing me and continuing to do assignments. Remember, your grade can only go up. This assignments are not easy and you will do great if you simply try. Tomorrow we will look at the ramifications (effects) of WW1 on Europe and US. Please send me those guided notes and look at the articles on NEWSELA (Clever) on cobb virtual library. Check out Alvin York when you get a chance. Take care and please get outside for some fresh air. Find a four leaf clover, do some yard work, do a science experiment, read something new
Coach Bond World War 1 begins today. Please download the guided notes and email me the completed notes using the power points or anything online to help. I will be assigning some new articles on NEWSELA as well. Be ready for another DBQ Wednesday. It will be a mini-q with no essay. I hope you all are doing well. Take care of each other and please keep in touch. Hopefully we can get back to something close to normal soon. Coach Bond
Good morning my students. We are getting close to World War 1 and I posted two assignments in CLEVER for NEWSELA. The Great War will begin tomorrow for us. It is crazy what these soldiers experienced. I need you guys that have not emailed me what you want to do with your grades, to do so. Those of you that have been keeping up (somewhat) and corresponding with me, please let your buddies know that they need to contact me and get me some work. It is not difficult to do. I have not heard from over half of my 73 students. Send them to me please. I would greatly appreciate it.
Take care and starting tomorrow, I am increasing the level on the articles in NEWSELA. This is to get you ready for next year. Each article will ask for a written response. Nothing outrageous, but I will push you to creatively respond. Take care guys and gals Coach Bond Good morning class. I have assigned 3 more articles for you to complete on NEWSELA. Please continue working on the unit 7 guided notes on the blog from a week ago. I will begin putting in the grades for students that have been working since we got out. Those of you not doing the assignments will simply receive the grade you had when we got out for the virus break, Passing or failing. There is simply no excuse for you not to bring your grades up in any of your classes. I am assuming that you will continue to work till the end of the school year. If you are happy with the grade you have and do not want to correspond with me, let me know by emailing me at
[email protected] Units 6 and 7 guided notes are due by the end of the week. The DBQ will be due by next Friday. You do not have to write the essay. Please take care of yourselves and keep in touch. Coach Bond I hope everyone is doing well. I have just received information about how grades will work for World History this semester. You will get the grade you had prior to the virus break (March 13). If you have done assignments and responded to work I have assigned, your grade will go higher. I will still be posting assignments through the rest of April until the last week of our school year (May 20). I would love for you to continue to do work and correspond with me. I will focus the rest of the school year on preparing you for U.S. History next year. I will need you to let me know what you would like to do individually. Please talk with your fellow classmates that have not kept in touch with me. I will post new assignments for unit 7 next Monday. Have a great rest of your break and keep in touch.
Coach Bond Hello students. I hope you all are well. I have to add the last test we took before the virus break. That will represent your grade going into our extended break. If you have done assignments over break, your grade will increase. If you have not done assignments, your grade will be what it was when we left before break. I have a meeting today to go over grading procedures from now till the end of school. I will let you know ASAP what that means. Those of you that are fine with your grade, I will be preparing those of you for U.S. History next year. It is no joke and the academic rigor greatly increases. You only span 400 years, but the information is at another level in terms of problem solving and reading comprehension. Take care and I will get back to you soon. I am still taking your guided notes from units 5 and 6. Please email me those when you have completed them. There are many articles on NEWSELA for you to look at and respond to. Those are documented on the site there. Be safe,
Coach Bond Good morning classes. I have assigned 2 DBQ's on the DBQ online icon on Cobb Virtual Library for Clever. The same place for NEWSELA. Below are the class login codes to work on these. These will be du by next Friday. I will keep reminding you. Good luck and get to work please. Let your classmates know that are not doing their work. We will be coming up with a plan for grading since we are not going back to school. If you have nothing to show, I can't give you grades. Please send me all of the guided notes and continue to take quizzes and read the articles on NEWSELA. Good luck and stay safe.
